On the 12th to the 13th of October 2018, we will host a symposium at our institute. The symposium (that means there will be wine!) is called “Communicating the Past in the Digital Age – Digital methods for teaching and learning in Archaeology” and the actual Call for Papers is out!

The symposium is about teaching archaeology with up-to-date digital tools, wheter in academia, in school or museums. We are pretty excited about this news as we have a lot to do now and are looking forward to the abstracts of the participants. We hope for vivid participation and if you are reading this also, that you distribute the call to anyone who might be interested.

My name is Sebastian. I am a research associate at the Institute of Archaeology at the University of Cologne, Germany, Discipline for Archaeoinformatics. My special interest lies in reconstructing ancient architecture and thinking about ways to present archaeological knowledge to other researchers and the public in an informative and appealing way.
